This premium bathing sand is extra specially kind to the skin and paws. The sand particles are all a very similar size, meaning it feels beautifully soft and is even suitable for pets with very sensitive skin. Chinchillas love to bathe in this special sand every day, whilst hamsters, gerbils and degus will enjoy it two or three times a week.
Sand baths are a great way of encouraging your pet to express their natural instincts. Chinchillas need to bathe every day, while hamsters, gerbils and degus also love baths every few days as a special treat. To give your pet a sand bath, add about 2.5cm/1″ of Science Selective Bathing Sand to a high-sided tray and allow your furry friend to bathe for up to 10-20 minutes at a time.
Remove any soiled sand straight away, and change the sand at least once a week.
